University of Minnesota, Department of Applied Economics: Assistant Professor, Dairy Food Marketing Economics. This is a 9-month, 100% time, 75% research and 25% teaching, non-tenure track appointment. The appointment is annually renewable for an initial period of four years. Development of a successful and nationally recognized program in dairy food marketing will result in continuation of appointment and renewal of funding. The position is funded by the Midwest Dairy Association and is a joint position with the Midwest Dairy Foods Research Center. The successful candidate will develop dairy foods marketing economics research and teaching programs and engage interested parties inside and outside the University to inform and enhance the research and education activities in this field. Essential qualifications: Ph.D. in applied economics, agricultural economics, economics, business marketing, food science technology or a closely related field by date of appointment; compelling written and oral communication skills for professional and nonprofessional audiences; and evidence of early potential for research excellence in the area of applied economics, consumer demand analysis, marketing analysis, experimental economics, behavioral economics or closely related fields.
